A few months ago I posted about The High Line in NYC. You can find all the facts and information about the project in that previous post.
This time I only want to share my pictures with you as I had the chance to experience it at last. It was terribly hot but totally worth it, especially because walking between trees and vegetation is cooler that concrete and cars.
Some interesting billboards on the way:
One of the things that I liked the most is that there are different corners everywhere. The materials and scheme are unified but it is different all the way. Despite being a long and narrow space the design invites you to wonder, seat, stop etc. It is a very clever layout with a fantastic planting scheme.
The next one is a picture of a very nice water feature, you can literally take off your shoes and sit with your ice cream while refreshing your feet.
A reliable source told me that some people like to put on a bit of a show in the windows at dawn.
Escaping from the heat we found a table at The Standard, apparently the place to be seen in that part of the West Village. Cold drinks and beautiful people.
